Pricing
Pricing is based on the total number of learners at subscribing schools - so the more schools that subscribe to a resource as a group at the same time, the lower the prices will be. Typical discounts on the publishers' standard prices range from 60 - 75%.
In order to get the best possible deal, individual schools should contact their Regional Broadband Consortium, or other schools in their area, in order to coordinate buying decisions as a single invoice is necessary to secure discounted pricing for buying groups.
Information about pricing for each resource is available on the individual product pages which you can browse from our catalogue.
Pricing examples
Prices for individual resources vary, but here's an example for many of the JISC Collections for Schools resources to demonstrate the extraordinary savings on offer, particularly for schools participating in buying groups.
Individual schools
Individual schools can make substantial savings through JISC Collections for Schools, however greater cost-savings are available if schools join together as a buying group.
Buying groups
The table below shows how schools who group together into a single buying group on a single invoice can make substantial savings on the cost of the resource.
The prices below show the potential cost of subscription for 500,000 learners (and the cost per learner rate), against the cost for an individual school at an average size of 950 learners (and the cost per learner rate). As shown, buying together delivers substantial discount rates.
Prices are annual and exclude VAT
